Thread & Roots runs sustainable sewing classes and retreat workshops for children and adults, from our own studio, in the heart of The Cotswolds.
I set up this business after almost 20 years starting by sewing Historical Costumes for the Bristol Opera, alongside mastering my skills at the London College of Fashion and the University of Bristol before being a dressmaker in Bristol and here, in the Cotswolds. Over the last 4 years I have been teaching sewing projects to groups of children and adults as well as private one-to-one tuition.
Keen to pass on my passion for sewing which I discovered as a child thanks to my grandmother, I also aim to show that re-using existing fabrics can be rewarding in many ways.
