Creating a bunting to decorate your bedroom, your Summer den and for all your parties!
This workshop is an opportunity to learn to use a sewing machine, cut out pre-loved garments/fabrics
Your child/young adult will learn:
- Pick Fabrics: Select from their preloved textiles.
- Trace & Cut: Use templates to create bunting flags.
- Pin & Sew: Learn to pin fabric and sew flags together.
- Flip & Press: Turn your flags right-side out for a crisp, pro finish.
- String It Up: Attach your flags to a ribbon to take home and showcase!
They will need to bring:
- Fabric, preferably pre-loved clothes/curtains/scarves etc... nothing stretchy, just cottons. Found at home, Vinted, Charity shops, Ebay...
The quantity needed is a mix of different fabrics to amount to about half a metre by a metre. If you need help just contact Celine who will be happy to advise you.
They will leave with:
- Their very own Bunting, ready to hang up!
- The sewing skills on the machine and the techniques
- Self confidence and pride over their achievement
- Joy to wear it and say "well! I did it myself, actually!"
