Learn how to use a sewing machine and make your very own Summer top! 

This workshop is an opportunity to learn to use a sewing machine, cut out pre-loved garments/fabrics

Your child will learn: 

  • Pick Fabrics: Select from their preloved textiles.
  • Trace & Cut: Use templates to create their garment
  • Pin & Sew: Learn to pin fabric and sew armholes, side seams, hem, and the band with elastic together.
  • Press: how to use an iron safely

They will need to bring

  • Fabric, preferably pre-loved adult size shirt/curtains/scarves etc... nothing stretchy, just cottons. Found at home, Vinted, Charity shops, Ebay... 

They will leave with: 

  • Their very own Summer top, unique and ready to wear 
  • The sewing skills on the machine and the techniques 
  • Self confidence and pride over their achievement
  • Joy to wear it and say "well! I did it myself, actually!"
