You will learn: how to use a sewing machine and fix classic issues, intro to the overlocker to give a neat finish and to French seams. Sewing in straight lines as well as going around a motif. A great first project and practice on sewing machines.
You will need: a man-size shirt or a pillow case or a Summer dress.... nothing stretchy please. And nothing new! just found at home or charity shops or donated from friends'!
Is included: all equipment and a cuppa with a cake during our well deserved break!
You will leave with: a gorgeous and unique bag, having learnt how to use a sewing machine! Let alone made time for yourself and feeling very good about that too!

THE SUMMER TROUSERS
Ideal for all Adults and Teens
Saturday, 13th April 2024 - 10am to 1pm
You will learn: how to adapt a pattern to your size, how to cut fabric along grainline, use a sewing machine and fix issues, intro to the overlocker as well as inserting an elastic for the waist and create hems.
You will need: a double duvet cover or a single duvet cover if you are making this project for a child. Avoid anything stretchy please. And nothing new! just found at home or charity shops or donated from friends'!
Is included: all equipment and a cuppa with a cake during our well deserved break!
You will leave with: a gorgeous and unique pair of Summer trousers to be lounging in at home or wear on the beach! AND you will have made time for yourself and feeling very good about that too!

THE KIMONO - 2 PARTS

You will learn: how to draw your own pattern, adding your own style. Cut fabric along grainline before sewing your Kimono with French seams and finally, measuring, cutting and sewing your collar and cuffs.
You will need: for an adult: a double duvet cover, for a child a single duvet cover or even a single sheet or a maxi Summer dress, ... nothing stretchy please. And nothing new! just found at home or charity shops or donated from friends'!
Is included: all equipment and a cuppa with a cake during our well deserved break!
You will leave with: a gorgeous and unique Kimono to wear at garden parties with jeans and trainers, or at festivals or take it with you on holidays or just to feel good and lazy at home!
AND you will have made time for yourself and feeling very good about that too!
